There is a great number of lakes in North Carolina. Falls Lake is one of them between Durham and Raleigh. Sometimes we visit the place to swim and make a picnic due to it is just 30 minutes away from our home. So it is an awesome place for the weekend getaways. Plenty of trees for hammocks, nice clean sand, life vests available for infants and youth. Showers and bathrooms can get a little crowded but overall a wonderful place.
We like this place because there are so many attractive things such as forests trails, beach, gardens, observation terraces, playgrounds, picnic and bbq areas, etc. We spent the entire day there during our last visit. When we arrived there, first we made our breakfast in the forest. After that, we swam in the warm water in Falls Lake. Thanks to water is shallow, I tried to teach swimming to Elif.
Afternoon was time to bbq. We loved the bbq because we were too tired after swimming. So we enjoyed it so much.
