On the second day in New York, our plan was to take a helicopter tour to see Manhattan from the sky. However, we could not do that due to the weather conditions. It was a cloudy and rainy day. Therefore, we changed our schedule and decided to visit the Statue of Liberty, Hudson Yards/Vessel, and High Line.

Our hotel was very close to Liberty State Park where we took the boat to Liberty Island. The boat has two stops, Ellis Island and Liberty Island which are significantly important in the history of the US. During the beginning of the 20th century, Ellis Island was used as an inspection station for immigrants. Therefore, there is Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration on the island now. We just spent a little time on the island and kept going to Liberty Island to see Lady Liberty

The Statue of Liberty was a gift from French people to the people of the US in 1886. The statue is a figure of Libertas, a robed Roman liberty goddess and holds a torch in her right hand. From ground level to torch, it is 93 meters. It is the most famous landmark in New York City.

We spent around 2-3 hours on the island to take photos and see the other places on the island. We really love this place because of the history and wonderful view of Manhattan. And then, we headed to Huston Yards/Vessel.
