We headed Central Park after Rockefeller Plaza (Top of the Rock). There were so many various street foods while we were walking on the streets. They looked amazing so that we purchased tasteful smoothies that are really chill on a hot summer day before arriving at the Central Park Zoo.

The Central Park Zoo is a meaningful place for Elif due to the Madagascar Animation Movie and Penguins of Madagascar TV Series. She like both of them which is placed in the Central Park Zoo. However, it was under our expectations because it was too small and has not so many animals to see.

Later on, we continued with world famous locations in the park such as Balto Statue, Bethesda Terrace, Bow Bridge, Belvedere Castle, Shakespeare Garden, and the Mall and Literary Walk.

Overall it was a fabulous experience. However, as we are very familiar with forests and parks in North Carolina, Central Park not seems so special to us. We believe that its history and fame are more special. According to history, it was built in 1857. It has been the world famous park since then because it is a very interesting park including special wildlife, fauna, and flora in the middle of skyscrapers. In addition to this, hundreds of movies have been filmed in this place.

Finally, we completed our first day in New York and turned back to our hotel in Jersey City.
