We believe that Eno River Fram has the best ice cream in Durham area. Another one is Maple View Farm’s ice cream. We like their ice cream and shakes. Therefore, we usually visit them at every season. For the summer season, you can not also buy ice cream but also strawberries, blueberries, blackberries. You can pick them your own from the farm. Literally, you can take a bucket from the store and go inside the farm and pick your own.
The farm, located at 2127 St. Mary’s Road, is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Farm, which sits on two-hundred beautiful acres, is a seasonal farm market, with an indoor greenhouse, ice creamery, and an outdoor farm that grows strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, as well as seasonal crops such as ornamental plants, poinsettias, and herbs. Its existence is due to a young man’s vision (a capstone project in collage), his uncle’s dreams, and a shared family love of farming, self-sufficiency and the environment.
To sum up, we love delicious ice cream and their fresh products and therefore we try to go there regularly.
