Motivation
We, two families including four adults, two kids, and one newborn decided to make a road trip last weekend. Sometimes we need to get out of town but aren’t able to spend too much doing so. These weekend trip ideas help us relax, unwind and get away from it all without draining our bank account or requiring us to trek too far from home. Thus, we aim to see the iconic places around North Carolina and make a short gateway. Additionally, we wanted to spend time together with our friends who will soon leave the country.
Program
Our plan includes visiting Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Pisgah National Forest and Asheville on the first day and then visiting Great Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg on the second day. We stayed one night at The Terrace Hotel at Lake Junaluska. Here is a short summary of our plan
