New Bern, NC is 2 hours distance from our place and it is on the way to the beach. We always wanted to visit The Pepsi Store, the birthplace of Pepsi-Cola. So, last weekend we finally did what we wanted to do.
I think the store is a modest place while considering its largest rival, Coca-Cola. This building is half soda fountain and half gift shop and I appreciated some of the old advertising and the prices in the soda fountain beg you to try a float or bottled soda made with real sugar. You get can get cups of Pepsi and popcorn for a fairly cheap price and is quite a nice looking bar (no alcohol) for it too.
