We made a 14-day road trip from Chapel Hill to Miami in winter break in December. We visited seven different beautiful towns such as Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Key West.
I recorded our daily expenditures and analysed them at the end of the trip. The total cost of the trip was approximately $1,900. Meanwhile, the average daily cost was $136. We spent $1,000 for hotels and it was 53 percent of total costs. The second highest cost was entertainment cost which included ticket fee of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and entrance fee of parks, beaches, and other facilities and shopping.
